The government is considering weakening laws designed to capture alleged war criminals and torturers who enter Britain, after pressure from the Israeli government, the Guardian has learned.

The changes would bar individuals from seeking international warrants for the arrest of people suspected of serious human rights abuses. The government has confirmed that Israeli officials have lobbied for changes in the law, which has kept some of their military officials away from Britain in case there should be an attempt to arrest them.

BRATTLEBORO, Vt., Jan. 28 (UPI) — Officials in Brattleboro, Vt., have decided to allow residents to vote at a town meeting on whether to indict U.S. President Bush for war crimes.

The Brattleboro Select Board voted 3-2 to put the measure, which would allow for the indictment and arrest of President George Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney for war crimes, perjury or obstruction of justice charges if they ever visit Vermont, on the Town Meeting Day warning, the Rutland (Vt.) Herald reported Monday.

Town Clerk Annette Cappy said residents will vote on the measure using paper ballots at the March 4 meeting.

There is, in the minds of many, a question of the legality of the Iraq war. The Bush team, its U.K. Motherland and the Bush team’s Middle East ally have wrecked significant parts of the Middle East. The waring countries seem to be devoid of humanitarian thoughts. From water boarding to starvation in “concentration camps” seems to be ok. Elected politicians who are directing the carnage seems to be having fun.

While the Middle East ally citizens are not likely to complain of the brutality to those whose land it stole, American citizens and U.K. citizens are complaining.

The U.K. Politicians are considering reining in some of the “real” democracy their citizens enjoy. American citizens in Brattleboro, Vt are revving up a plan to allow its citizens to charge elected politicians with war crimes.

About 1,000,000 Americans tried via “IMPEACHBUSH.ORG” to petition Congress for impeachment action. This Congress has not obliged.

This Congress appears to not mind a war being started because of fake yellowcake evidence. And that evidence did not come from American sources – American intelligence could not validate the yellowcake evidence. So the Bush team opted to bypass American intelligence in favor of foreign intelligence. Foreign intelligence provided the “evidence” of an  Iraqi – Niger yellowcake link. The foreign intelligence was finally given to the IAEA for inspection. It took the IAEA just hours to determine that the “evidence” was fake.

America didn’t used to be this way. And this congress has not done its job. So, citizens – the real democracy are about to try to save the REPUBLIC.
