The US has agreed to help modernise Poland’s military as part of a deal to base 10 missile defence interceptors on Polish soil.President George W Bush made the promise during talks with Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk in Washington.Before the meeting, Mr Tusk said the US anti-missile system, which has angered Russia, would reduce Poland’s security.
Mr Bush says the shield will guard against possible attacks by “rogue states”, such as Iran or North Korea.
“There is a commitment to a system that respects Poland’s sovereignty and that will ensure that the people of Poland will not be subjected to any undue security risks,” said Mr Bush after the meeting.
“We just want to assure people that [the missile defence shield] is necessary and at the same time there will be this modernisation effort that will take place”, he added…
The above news article would be unbelieveable if it did not concern the neocon wing of the Republican party. While America tries to recover from a Recession (a depression to those who are about to loose homes), the Bush team is going out on a limb to help finance another country’s military.
America’s treasury last had real money to spend when Ex-President Bill Clinton was in office. The Bush team quickly spent the surplus and are now using “AMERICA’S CREDIT CARD”. The neocons will finance or help finance another country’s military using “America’s credit card”. Easy come, easy go?
Where is the executive oversight of the Bush team? Who is responsible for executive oversight?
The neocons are making certain that their “handiwork” will not be soon forgotten. What the world knows now is basically what the Bush team and its “Tell America” press has told. But sooner or later, the full truth will likely be revealed.
