My latest political WordPress post, has not posted on Technorati. Multiple Technorati pings have not added the WordPress post to my Technorati’s posts. After pings failed to transfer my post to technorati, I searched for a possible reason for the failure. Different delivery systems do, perhaps have different “rules of engagement”.
I noticed a sidebar on my Technorati blog page. That sidebar reminded me of my CAPITOL HILL BLUE ordeal. During the final days of America’s 2008 Presidential campaign, there were numerous McCain political ads in sidebars on the page with my political posts. My political posts were not supportive of Senator John McCain. After about seven of my posts on CAPITOL HILL BLUE, I attempted to add an eighth post but discovered that I had lost the previous seven posts because I had been stripped of my CAPITOL HILL BLUE “credentials”. In effect, I now had seven orphaned posts on CAPITOL HILL BLUE. Perhaps, CAPITOL HILL BLUE said, “NOT ON MY INTERNET CONNECTION, YOU DON’T”. And it is the connection that is the focus here because the Internet itself belongs to the American people(or Mr. George W. Bush when he was in office)
A Partial of the Technorati Sidebar:
The sidebar “eye-crosser” is the “good rule of thumb” comment. “Making friends and influencing people” is not the primary goal of many(excuse the weasel word) political bloggers. Influencing people – maybe yes, but if one’s goal is to make friends perhaps one of the social networks would be the appropriate vehicle – perhaps.
After your eyes uncross from the “making friends and influencing people” comment, focus on the “politics is a prominent Internet topic specifically because of its controversial nature” comment.
That comment clouds the real focus of today’s politics. Today’s politics is concerned with “train-wreck” political performances. That could be controversial if it pits a neocon against the rest of America or perhaps the rest of the world. Starting the Iraq war because of a bogus Niger-Iraq yellowcake connection could be controversial if neocons were involved in the discussion. America would likely see something other than controversy in such an act.
Politics plays a major role in many of the world’s countries – especially Democricies. Politics helps solve real world problems. The focus is on the political rules and a desired political outcome. Etiquette is “off the table”. Rules ought to be obeyed, etiquette is nice to do.
What, in the “Hamas has ‘overwhelming responsibility’ for Gaza war: EU” post caused it to wind up on Technorati’s “cutting room” floor? Could it be a different view of HAMAS’s role in the 60 year old problem of Middle East land theft by “respectable” countries?
