ABC News’ Teddy Davis Reports:

The chairman of the Republican National Committee announced late Thursday that he is unilaterally ending coverage of elective abortion under the RNC’s Cigna health-care plan.

“Money from our loyal donors should not be used for this purpose,” said RNC Chair Michael Steele in a written statement. “I don’t know why this policy existed in the past, but it will not exist under my administration. Consider this issue settled.”

The RNC’s coverage of elective abortion, which began in 1991, was first reported on Thursday evening by Politico.

FOCUS ON THE FETUS

A fetus puts little or no strain on the Republican(neocon wing) party. Fetus politics is another brand of politics that the Republicans(neocon wing) can adopt that won’t cost it or its base “nothing”. The burden of the fetus rests mainly with the mother. But once the fetus “hits the ground” that is another story. While democrats may say, “it takes a village to raise a child”, the neocon wing of the Republican party says, “leave health insurance out”.

The neocons are in a class by themselves.

FOCUS ON THE CHILD

After the fetus becomes a child, neocons seem to loose interest in health matters of the child.  While the neocons have a political interest in the fetus, it displays little or no political interest in the child. Ensuring that the fetus is born is an interest. Ensuring the health of the child is somebody else’s interest. The child is not political capital – the health care industry is political capital.

Actually when the child gets old enough, access to cocaine might be a historical gift from the neocons to the health of that child. During the 80’s neocons helped energize drug smuggling in America in order to fund a war in the jungles of South America. Cocaine not opium was the drug of choice.

It is hard-as-hell to determine just what the neocons won’t do. And the natural secrecy of an organization like the CIA provided just the right COVER for some of the most blatant legal/illegal behavior an American administration has ever engaged in. And the neocons’ abuse of that agency is so bad that it must forever be kept secret.

The neocons are in a class by themselves.
