A Fool And His Country Are Soon Parted

February 28, 2010

Twenty some-odd years of Neocon “leadership” have transformed America.

America is no where near as smart as the world gave it credit for being. And most of the un-smart performances that pointed America toward Hades were sourced by the neocons.

The neocons could not have “dummied up” America alone. One would need the resources of a BUSINESS that was engaged in persuading Americans to a point of view – not just pure news. Propaganda along with sensationalism hit the front pages of what passes for news in America.

A “High ranking news source” took a picture of a President and a picture of an attempted passenger airliner bomber and mashed them together. That is not news. That is propaganda. It served the purpose of the neocons who seem to be closer to business than to the United States Constitution. And the press is not just getting the reputation for “making” and “shaping” the outcome of American politics. The neocons, along with the press, is said to have been the reason why President Bill Clinton was impeached.

Linda Milazzo was eloquent in her description of the American people and the impeachment of Bill Clinton. She said, “NOBODY MARCHED TO IMPEACH BILL CLINTON!”. You can read her post here.

The neocons, knowing that they are good at demolition and exceptionally poor at construction, have gone bottom fishing for the fools in America. The neocons are looking for Americans who can ignore:

1. Selling crack cocaine to minority neighborhoods of Los Angeles CA.

2. Firing 11,000 control tower workers

3. Starting the Iraq war based upon an assertion that proved to be false. Wars are serious. Many people die. War is not to be treated as a game.

4. Using tax payer money and troops to gain control of Iraq’s oil and then giving an American business “pumping rights” to that oil. Business and the neocons “scratch each other’s back”? But since that is closer to fascism than socialism it is likely ok with the neocons.

5. The neocons hiding their own emails while illegally spying on the electronic communications of 200,000,000 Americans. 200,000,000 is, of course, a big number. And to the neocons big numbers and socialism go hand-in-hand. But the 200,000,000 number was ok in this case because it delivered something bad rather than something good – to the masses.

6. Outing Valerie Plame. Is America ready to “close the books” on who outed Valerie Plame. The same person who  “squealed like a stuck pig” when the American government wanted to investigate the CIA’s handling of the “penises” of terrorism SUSPECTS was also in the Valerie Plame loop. I wonder what that says?

7. Female terrorism SUSPECTS in the CIA’s custody. Were there female terrorists in the CIA’s custody? If so, what part of the female anatomy was the inquisitors interested in? What part of the female anatomy would the CIA accost in order to make them TALK?

8. Health care problems. Insurance is currently hiding a health care cost problem. As health care cost continues to best inflation, some are in the “WHAT ME WORRY?” category. Health care products and services are already expensive and price trends continues up. And companies continues to ask employees to shoulder more of the cost of health benefits.

Visit a pharmacist with a prescription for an athletes’ foot creme and be welcomed to a price of $180.00 if you are paying out of pocket.

The neocons are the worse “managers” that America has seen. Only a fool or a neocon would pick them to continue trashing America.

Europe preceded America and their is the possibility that Europe will succeed America.

A fool and his country are soon parted.

Diplomacy At Work?

February 27, 2010

Moammar Gadhafi, Libya’s head of state, came to America as a visitor. He came to address a body of people collectively called the United Nations. Libya is a member of the United Nations.

America was anything but a gracious host to Mr. Gadhafi’s visit. His treatment was reminiscent of America’s Jim Crow years. But instead of a “WHITES ONLY” sign, restricting where he could sleep and perhaps use the bathroom, he was given a more personal acknowledgment.

Politicians took a back-seat to business in informing America’s guest that he was not welcome here. The neocon era brought  a this/close relationship between business and politics. Business addressed Mr. Gadhafi:

Trump: Mr. Gadhafi, Tear Down That Tent

Moammar Gadhafi Packs Up His Tent: Won’t Stay in New York Suburb

After the brutal treatment given Libya’s head of state, one would think that business and the United Nations would keep their mouths out of Libya’s business. But the United Nations decided to BIG MOUTH Libya’s business while the head of state was home:

UN deplores Gaddafi call for anti-Swiss ‘jihad’

A top UN official has condemned as “inadmissible” Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi’s call for a jihad, or holy war, against Switzerland.

The United Nations seems to be as bad at diplomacy as the latter-day neocons. Perhaps the UN could use a third-party to act as an intermediary when dealing with the Arab world.

Justice Dept. Reveals More Missing E-Mail Files

February 27, 2010

The New York Times

By ERIC LIGHTBLAU

February 26, 2010

WASHINGTON — Large batches of e-mail records from the Justice Department lawyers who worked on the 2002 legal opinions justifying the Bush administration’s brutal interrogation techniques are missing, and the Justice Department told lawmakers Friday that it would try to trace the disappearance.

At a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing, Senator Patrick J. Leahy, the Vermont Democrat who leads the panel, angrily demanded to know what had happened to the e-mail files, and he noted that the destruction of government records, including official e-mail messages, was a criminal offense. He said the records gap called into question the completeness of the department’s internal reviews of the work done by the lawyers in the Bush years.

The Justice Department’s Office of Professional Responsibility, which spent more than four years investigating the handling of the legal opinions about interrogation policies after the Sept. 11 attacks, pushed to get access to a range of e-mail records and other internal documents from the Justice Department to aid in its investigation.

Is Penis Slicing Legal Surgery?

February 26, 2010

Is the human being, engaged in the slicing of another human being’s penis practicing surgery?

At “street level” one human being wielding a knife to body parts of another human being is not considered practicing surgery. And the knife wielder will likely see a day in court. But what about a “knife” wielder who works for a government agency that is not connected to a hospital? Is that knife wielder lawfully wielding that knife to a victim’s penis or is the knife wielder “working under color of law“?

Is penis slicing, as practiced against SUSPECTED terrorists, legal surgery?

Not much is known about the conditions under which penis slicing was practiced. A high ranking American neocon “squealed like a stuck pig” when an attempt was made to investigate the CIA’s handling of the anti-terrorist program which, as we now know includes the handling of the penises of SUSPECTED terrorist.

So, at this point in time, the neocons’ “PANDORA’S BOX” continues to gain content. And that “continues to gain content”  idea plays against the idea of the legacy of the latter-day neocons ever “seeing the light of day”.

While we don’t know the legality of penis slicing that was done on the latter-day neocons watch, we can guess that what the latter-day neocons over-saw was illegal and uncivilized. It was conduct unbecoming to a human being.

Does the United Nations Have the Right to tamper With other Nation’s Self Defense?

February 25, 2010

It goes without saying, that the United Nations would never tamper with the defenses of certain nations even if certain nations were accused of murdering other nation’s citizens. Certain nations seem to be exempt from United Nations’ enforcement power(GUNS).

One nation started a war that killed thousands of innocent people while another nation has been killing the previous owners of land that was stolen in 1948. Two nations, displaying deadly behavior toward other nations, seems to be given a pass by the United Nations.

And a problem, caused by the United Nations in 1948, seems to be still causing problems today. In 1948, the United Nations saw how easy it was to steal land from a weak nation. Stealing land from the Palestinians was a “piece of cake”..

Russia never lost one acre of land to the United Nations. And the same holds for France, England, China, Germany and America. What is it about Palestine that made it such an attractive victim?

Palestine was a militarily weak country and as such, was an easy target for the UN power that overwhelmed it. But there still remained a job to be done.

In order to keep stolen land stolen, the United Nations must keep those who opposed the 1948 land theft – militarily weak. And toward that end the United Nations’ IAEA keeps a keen eye on Iran.

The United Nations will search to “high heaven” for evidence of uranium dust in mountain ranges or elsewhere – so long as its in Iran. The United Nations totally ignores what is likely Israeli “fully formed” nuclear weapons hiding in silos waiting to be fired.

No nukes for those who harbor retaking the land that was stolen from innocent people in 1948. Nukes for the land theives.

Does the United Nations have the right to tamper with the nuclear defense of Iran while totally ignoring the nuclear capability of Israel? Not if the WORLD is tending toward RULE of LAW.

The United Nations, with some successes to its credit, does not yet seem to be consistent in its “fairness doctrine”, its motto and its mission statement. The UN’s motto and its mission statement – way too often – seems to be at variance with its actual behavior. If the United Nations can’t fairly execute its power, then it has no right to expect mistreated countries to “toe the mark”. Self defense, in accordance with laws, is a birthright for citizens and countries.

And Iran, being in an area of unchecked Zionist’s expansion, would be a fool to sit back and watch – with fingers crossed – hoping the Zionist expansionism won’t affect them.

Why Didn’t America Abandon the Penis Slicers Earlier?

February 24, 2010

America had ample information to abandon the penis slicers in the 80′s. America could have abandoned the penis slicers before any penises were sliced. America’s eyebrows should have been raised when 11,000 control tower workers were fired by the original neocon – whose political party finally advanced to penis slicing.

Before the penis slicers oversaw their first sliced penis, they were in the narcotics racket. America had ample information to abandon the penis slicers during the sale of crack cocaine to minority neighborhoods in Los Angeles California.

Before the penis slicers oversaw their first sliced penis, they started their first war. The Iraq war was started to stop terrorist from killing people – but in the process of the soon to be anointed penis slicers, their act of war killed more people than did the terrorist. And no one, outside of the penis slicers knows why that war was started.

Who “let loose” the penis slicers on America? The “new conservatives(neocons)” was the brain child of William Buckley Jr. And he was said to be a heavy influence on America’s selection of Ronald Reagan as President of America. But the future penis slicers “dissed” William Buckley. William Buckley’s morals and ethics wouldn’t allow him to sell crack cocaine to Americans nor slice any male’s penis. He would hardly claim water-boarding to be enhanced interrogation.

How did William Buckley Jr. feel about President George W. Bush’s conservatism? CBS said Buckley: Bush Not A True Conservative. ‘Newsbusters‘ said Buckley didn’t say what CBS said he said.

The CBS video can be viewed here.

After viewing the video one might think that the reason for different opinions on what William Buckley Jr. said could be in the way that William Buckley said what he said.

Buckley used a “language” not much heard in today’s neocon environment. Buckley used the dying language that was once called “diplomacy“.

If William Buckley had called Mr. Bush a LIE, that would have been understood immediately by all. But if two diplomats BASH each other – to the untrained ear – it’ll sound like they are complimenting each other.

But since the neocons came into power, diplomacy has gone the way of ethics, virtues and other behavior modifying values.

The neocons, with one exception, are in a class by themselves.

The Money Game is Being Played Out

The money game is being played out:

Wall Street shifting political contributions to Republicans

The Washington Post

By Dan Eggen and Tomoeh Murakami Tse

Washington Post Staff Writer

February 24, 2010

Commercial banks and high-flying investment firms have shifted their political contributions toward Republicans in recent months amid harsh rhetoric from Democrats about fat bank profits, generous bonuses and stingy lending policies on Wall Street.

The wealthy securities and investment industry, for example, went from giving 2 to 1 to Democrats at the start of 2009 to providing almost half of its donations to Republicans by the end of the year, according to new data compiled for The Washington Post by the Center for Responsive Politics.

Commercial banks and their employees also returned to their traditional tilt in favor of the GOP after a brief dalliance with Democrats, giving nearly twice as much to Republicans during the last three months of 2009, the data show. At the same time, total political donations by the major banks and investment houses alike dropped in the waning months of that year.

Supreme Court rolls back campaign spending limits

USA TODAY

By Joan Biskupic and Fredreka Schouten, USA TODAY

WASHINGTON — Government cannot restrict corporations from spending money to influence political campaigns, the Supreme Court ruled Thursday in an opinion that immediately reverberated across the political landscape and drew strong criticism from the White House.

The decision upends the political battlefield in time for November’s high-stakes congressional elections. It also is likely to affect state contests. Twenty-two states prohibit corporate spending in state candidate elections, and two more, New York and Alabama, impose limits on such spending.

The 5-4 decision rolls back at least two decades of restrictions on what unions and corporations can spend in elections and frees special interest groups to unleash a flood of advertising to sway the outcome of races close to elections.

CASE LOG: Major cases facing the Supreme Court

The majority based its opinion on free speech grounds. “The censorship we now confront is vast in its reach,” Justice Anthony Kennedy said in his majority opinion, joined by his four more conservative colleagues.

But:

the United States of America has a population of 308,745,000.

And:

the majority of working and voting America do not work for Wall Street.

And If America:

1. does not allow itself to be fooled twice(WMDs were no. 1) then money is not likely to be the winner of an American election.

2. votes on the performance of a political party rather than the rhetoric of a political party then the American voters, who are America’s ombudsmen, will have done their duty to and for America.

Wall Street bonuses ‘jumped 17% in 2009′

February 23, 2010

BBC NEWS

February 23, 2010

Cash bonuses for Wall Street bankers rose 17% to $20.3bn in 2009, figures have shown.

The data, from the New York state Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli, also said that profits at the firms could be in excess of $55bn for last year.

Mr DiNapoli added that the payouts were a “bitter pill” and “hard to comprehend” for American taxpayers who had bailed out Wall Street firms.

The total does not include bonuses taken in stock options instead of cash.

“Wall Street is vital to New York’s economy, and the dollars generated by the industry help the state’s bottom line,” said Mr DiNapoli.

But he acknowledged that while bonuses were well below the level paid in 2007 and were more closely tied to company performance, it was inevitable that many would consider them excessive.

“For most Americans, these huge bonuses are a bitter pill and hard to comprehend,” Mr DiNapoli said.

“Taxpayers bailed them out, and now they’re back making money while many New York families are still struggling to make ends meet.”

The average taxable bonus on Wall Street rose to $123,850 in 2009.

Those paid at three of New York’s biggest investment banks – Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan Chase and Morgan Stanley – rose by 31%, according to the Comptroller’s report.

Last month, President Barack Obama said that multi-billion dollar bonuses taken by Wall Street bankers were “shameful” while taxpayers bailed out their industry.

The president said their actions “were the height of irresponsibility”.

Politico, Neocons and News Worthiness

February 23, 2010

The neocons are prolific in rhetoric and miserably lacking in performance. The neocons have over 20 years of political history in America and yet, some news sources act like America is unaware of that history.

Some “news” sources, using their current standards of “common sense”, could print a story that said, “Al Capone believed in an “alcohol free society” . And the consumers of that “news” would likely “scratch their heads” and decide to stop paying for that kind of news garbage.

Who in his right mind would pay for news that said:

Rep. Michele Bachmann: President Obama is ‘intending to fail’

http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0210/33189.html

Not even President George W. Bush was intending to fail. It is difficult to find a sane mind anywhere in the world that intended to fail. So was it the ” news value” or the ” sensationalism value” that prompted Politico to give America some insight into its professional evaluation of news worthiness?

When news sources are failing – and they know WHY they are failing – and they continue in their failing ways then it is fair to say that those news sources intends to fail.
