President Barack Obama is Ending the War with Iraq!

August 31, 2010

It’s not mandatory to know why the war started if the goal is to end it.

Why the Iraq war started may be left for historians or maybe even archaeologists to discover. But President Barack Obama has helped civilization to be definitive about the end of a war whose “ownership” could be claimed by a single person – George W. Bush.

Several joejolly posts during the Bush era asked when will the Iraq war end. And joejolly answered his question this way:

The Iraq war will end when the last barrel of Iraq oil is sold or when the last American soldier – standing in Iraq – falls.

Now that President Obama has answered the question of “when will the Iraq war end”, perhaps, for history’s sake – the question of why the Iraq war started may be in order.

In 2003, at his State of the Union Address, then President George W. Bush made this statement:

The British government has learned that Saddam Hussein recently sought significant quantities of uranium from Africa.

http://www.cnn.com/2003/ALLPOLITICS/01/28/sotu.transcript/

It has been said that America’s President, George Washington, never told a lie. More recently a blogger suggested that:

if you believe you are telling the truth, you are not lying.

Were those 16 words that energized America’s neocons to war similar to the “writing on the wall”? Writing on stone is indelible.

Did the source of those 16 words ever revisit, in public, the accuracy of those 16 words? Perhaps those 16 words could be described this way?

The Moving Finger writes, and, having writ,

Moves on nor all thy Piety nor Wit

Shall lure it back to cancel half a Line.

Nor all thy Tears wash out a Word of it.

Omar Khaytyam

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Moving_Finger

In 2003, the Bush Administration’s finger wrote(those 16 words). And having writ moved on.

The Iraq war ends today!

No, all America’s soldiers will not be coming home today. That would not make sense. But AMERICA’S CURRENT PRESIDENT IS NOT “DARING” Iraq terrorists to “bring em’ on”. You see, the neocons are “booty kickers”.

Those Who Can – Do, Those Who Can’t – Blog?

August 30, 2010

Today, if you visit any “news source” that contains professional bloggers of the neocon ilk, you will likely find a ton of solutions to most every problem in today’s non-neocon administered world.

Bloggers of the neocon ilk weren’t always as “solution driven” as they are today. During the neocon era professional bloggers of the neocon ilk had trouble identifying problems and more trouble yet publicizing them.

American government officials sold Cocaine to American Citizens:

Even current day bloggers of the neocon ilk are not blogging about cocaine sales made by America’s neocon government to Americas citizens. Neocon bloggers, by and large, are saying nothing about how Los Angeles, California should solve its drug problem.

War Crimes:

There was talk of high level American government officials being eligible for war crime charges. Bloggers of the neocon ilk did not see it that way. One blogger commented on the situation by saying “He(an American President)  has not committed a felony”.

Guantanamo:

The neocon Iraqi war planners wound up with some 400 POWs/detainees in Guantanamo and way-less than 400 “boxes” of evidence against those detained.

Bloggers of the neocon ilk did not come forward with solutions to the Guantanamo evidence problem. But when a Federal Judge cited President Bush for over-stepping his authority in his Guantanamo adventures, bloggers of the neocon ilk looked forward to America’s 2006 elections proving that Federal Judge wrong. That Federal Judge was not proved wrong by the elections of 2006.

2006 Elections:

Many neocon politicians were given their “walking papers”.

The Great Recession:

Bloggers of the neocon ilk could have done a great service for America by leading the way to the definition of the economic “thingee” that gripped America starting in December of 2007. Bloggers of the neocon ilk are daily telling America and the Obama Administration how to run America’s government. Where were they when President George W. Bush was evading the reality of a Great Recession?

What is propaganda?

America’s bloggers, of the neocon ilk, are “gabby” today. Where were they “yesterday”? How did America get into DEEP WEEDS under the watchful eye and ready mouths of the bloggers of the neocon ilk?

Why weren’t the bloggers as watchful over the Bush Administration as they are over the Obama Administration?

What IS propaganda?

A fool and his country are soon parted.

Israel rabbi calls for ‘plague’ on Mahmoud Abbas

August 30, 2010

A senior rabbi from a party within Israel’s coalition government has called for Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas to “vanish from our world”.

Rabbi Ovadia Yosef, spiritual leader of Shas, spoke out as Middle East talks are poised to begin in Washington.

The United States condemned the remarks as “deeply offensive”.

Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu distanced himself from the comments with a statement saying that his government wanted peace with the Palestinians.

The attack on Mr Abbas, delivered in the rabbi’s weekly sermon, also prompted chief Palestinian negotiator Saeb Erakat to condemn the remarks as “an incitement to genocide”.

Mr Erakat urged the Israeli government “to do more about peace and stop spreading hatred”, the AFP news agency reported.

‘Regret and condemn’

Rabbi Yosef expressed the wish that “all the nasty people who hate Israel, like Abu Mazen (Abbas), vanish from our world”.

He went on to say: “May God strike them down with the plague along with all the nasty Palestinians who persecute Israel.”

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-11127409

Will Israel’s God be persuaded to get actively involved against other peoples’ Gods?

In the beginning God created man – and man did likewise?

Will the big one be Jew vs Gentile?

The United Nations, in 1948, created this problem for the world’s people. And the UN’s motto does little to correct the injustice done to Palestine in 1948. And the West made terrorists of the victims of land-theft while “anointing” the land thieves with a “WHITE HAT”. Propaganda, practiced long enough and hard enough, is likely to persuade. The only question is likely to be “how many”.

Getting GOD actively involved in supporting land theft ought not happen in today’s world.

Somebody in Israel lamented a change in a relationship that had worked to Israel’s advantage for thirty-some-odd-years. During those thirty-some-odd years – Israel cluster-bombed Lebanon. Israel used to “turkey shoot” the closed community of Hamas at will. Israel bombed a facility in Syria with impunity. And the United Nations – who is responsible for the creation of Israel in Palestine – never said a mumbling word – not a word – not a word.

The world is still trying to forget religions’ rule of the world. The “Dark Ages”  brings bad images to mind.

Two Views of Washington D.C. Gatherings

August 29, 2010

There was a Bush Washington D.C. gathering and there was an Obama Washington D.C. gathering. But the twain did not meet.

President Barack Obams’s Administration just  “hosted” a Washington D.C. gathering that included Glenn Beck. Mr. Beck is the TV personality who “jokingly?” suggested poison in the coffee of his political opposition. Neocons “kick booty”.

Neocons are that way. The neocons are a “booty kicking” political party.

The neocons kicked a lot of booty when Americans, during the George W. Bush Administration, marched on Washington D.C.. Here is part of an account given by: Global Research.ca

Bush Supresses “Impeach Bush” Press conference

Global Research, September 7, 2007

Bush’s police suppress Sept. 15 press conference

While the momentum for the Sept. 15 Peace/Impeachment demonstration grows, the Bush Administration is going to extraordinary lengths to suppress the mobilizing for this mass demonstration.

Less than 18 hours ago, National Park Service Police turned a September 15 Press Conference, held in front of the White House, into a chaotic scene. On the pretext that there was no permit for a three foot long folding table that the media placed their microphones on, the police intervened in the middle of the press conference to announce that it was an unpermitted activity. Three people were arrested and are still being held in jail. They include Adam Kokesh, an Iraq war veteran; Tina Richards of Grassroots America; and Ian Thompson an ANSWER Coalition organizer.

The Parks Police even rode a horse directly into the crowd of reporters and shocked onlookers. The National Parks Police is an agency in the Interior Department whose Secretary is a member of George W. Bush’s cabinet. In recent weeks September 15 organizers have been fined more than $30,000 for putting up posters promoting the September 15 March on Washington. …

The neocon press won’t likely compare the two Washington D.C. gatherings. Some things the neocon press shows and some things it hides.

Former President Carter Wins Release of American in North Korea

August 28, 2010

Diplomacy and peace – two of the greatest threats to the neocons “way of life”

The neocons described former President Carter as irrelevant. The neocons went berserk when President Barack Obama won the Nobel Peace Prize.

Diplomacy and peace – two of the neocons most feared states of the political world.

Fat chance Saddam Hussein would donate his oil reserves to the neocons if only diplomacy and peace were the tools of persuasion.

The neocons let the world know that they were ready, willing and able to “kick booty” to get their way. The neocons “gave no quarter”. If one is not conditioned to “dirty politics” one is not ready for the “kick booty” environment of the neocons.

Two Democratic Senators, early on, decided to get the hell out of the neocon environment.  One Republican non-neocon lady considered running for political office in New York but she ducked out as the neocons were “getting her in their sights”.

The neocons and their press have changed the face of politics in America. And if they prevail – America is not likely to. As with all living things – the question of death is not if – but when.

And the neocons dedication to war rather than peace and diplomacy – practically ensures that America will get a taste of war – likely on its shores and likely across minority and majority neighborhoods.

But former President Carter is doing what he can to help the cause of peace. He still is the humanitarian he always was.

And America is indeed lucky that President Obama is young and energetic enough to tackle all those problems that the neocons accumulated over twenty-some-odd years of attempted administration of American affairs. I said America is lucky. It remains to be seen if America is smart.

Bringing the United States Constitution Center-Stage

August 28, 2010

It appears to be impossible to find the “soul” of the far-right-wing of the Republican party. Currently it appears that the “soul” is driven by POLITICAL OPPORTUNITY. Even America’s Constitution seems to be a pawn of POLITICAL OPPORTUNITY.

BBC NEWS shows the below reference to America’s Constitution by the Glenn Beck crowd:

But, some time ago, there was another well publicized neocon reference to America’s Constitution:

Bush on the Constitution: It’s just a ‘goddamned piece of paper’
By DOUG THOMPSON
Dec 9, 2005, 06:02

http://www.capitolhillblue.com/artman/publish/article_7779.shtml

While a comment like the above – from a high-ranking politician is certainly more than eyebrow raising, that comment may or may not have been out of character.

The website FactCheck.org seems to believe that comment on America’s Constitution is out of character for President George W. Bush. And the reasoning put forth could make one question if “FactCheck” and “Fact Check” have the same meaning. We see this on FactCheck’s website:

Q: Did President Bush call the Constitution a “goddamned piece of paper?”

Is it true that President Bush called the Constitution a “goddamned piece of paper?” He has never denied it, and it appears that there were several witnesses.

A: Extremely unlikely. The Web site that reported those words has a history of quoting phony sources and retracting bogus stories.

The report that Bush “screamed” those words at Republican congressional leaders in November 2005 is unsubstantiated, to put it charitably.

We judge that the odds that the report is accurate hover near zero. It comes from Capitol Hill Blue, a Web site that has a history of relying on phony sources, retracting stories and apologizing to its readers.

FactCheck.org seems to have focused its “fact checking” on Capitol Hill Blue. There is more to be said about the character of the neocons than about the character of Capitol Hill Blue.

The FactCheck comments reads more like OPINION than facts that were checked.

Palin due at controversial US conservatives rally

August 28, 2010

US conservative talk show host Glenn Beck is under fire for calling a rally at the site on the anniversary of an iconic 1963 civil rights protest.

He, Sarah Palin and other conservative luminaries will speak on Saturday at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington DC, 47 years after Martin Luther King Jr gave his “I Have a Dream” speech.

Mr Beck says the rally is an apolitical tribute to US military personnel.

But civil rights leaders say Mr Beck’s message runs counter to Dr King’s.

“It’s an affront to what the civil rights movement stood for,” Georgia Congressman John Lewis, who spoke at the 1963 March on Washington, told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

“We didn’t do anything in anger and never tried to divide people. Glenn Beck is a very divisive force.”

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-11114172

No matter the country – when you “bottom-fish” you’ll catch something.

Will FOX News be there to cheerlead report this Washington event. Will Glenn Beck look at twenty to forty million minorities in America and urge them to “BRING IT ON”.  Will Glenn Beck acknowledge that there is plenty of poison coffee for those minorities. Will the Glenn Beck crowd be “dusting” off their Confederate money?

And what about America?

A fool and his country are soon parted.

Reagan, Bush Rack Up New Victory Against Science: Ann Woolner

Bloomberg.com

Opinion – Ann Woolner

If Ronald Reagan were alive today, he would see the fruits of the legal revolution he ignited in this week’s stunning court-ordered halt of new embryonic stem cell research.

And surely former President George W. Bush, whose appointees are pushing the law further rightward, is giving himself high fives.

http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2010-08-27/reagan-bush-rack-up-new-victory-against-science-ann-woolner.html

It is undeniable that both President Reagan and President George W. Bush made a profound impact on America. But the quality of that impact is seen as divisive and definitely taking a hard turn to the right. And if one comments favorably on the administrations of the aforementioned Presidents, one must be leaving a whole ton of stuff out. But that is the nature of propaganda.

A fair and balanced version of the Reagan and/or George W. Bush Administrations MUST include EVIL and/or incompetent acts. Like the “face that only a mother could love”, the neocon administrations displayed a political face  that only a neocon or brain-washed observer could love.

Ronald Reagan’s administration sold COCAINE to minority neighborhoods of Los Angeles, California. Al Capone did with illegal whiskey what Ronald Reagan did with illegal cocaine. Illegal cocaine is a far deadlier “product” than “illegal whiskey”. Nobody is honoring Al Capone. Why is Ann Woolner honoring Ronald Reagan?

Honoring President George W. Bush is not as insane as honoring a president whose administration illegally sold cocaine to America’s own citizens in order to fund an adopted war in the jungle of South America. But President Bush’s handling of America’s economy left a lot to be desired.

A first adage of common-sense is: “if it ain’t broke – don’t fix it”.

When it comes to matters of the economy, it is far better to have a president who abandons rather than uses VOODOO ECONOMICS . Yes Ann Woolner, Reaganomics also goes by the name VOODOO ECONOMICS and the name voodoo economics is a good fit. Cutting taxes is the center-piece of voodoo economics. Spend like the devil but cut taxes to keep the economy stable. And one could throw-in, for good measure, DE-REGULATION.

A government that de-regulates its privately owned economy has to be called a STUPID GOVERNMENT or at least a stupid government move. And being IN-DENIAL of the consequences of de-regulation is no excuse.

Blaming minorities for the results of the de-regulation move is SOP for the neocons but it still “stiffs” reality.

It is indeed a sad day in America when a “news” source idolizes American Presidents whose administrations:

  1. Sold the illegal drug cocaine to its own citizens
  2. Attacked Iraq for a reason no-one could validate

In order for the neocon press to persuade America to believe in its politics, it prints favorable stories and hides unfavorable stories. Some Americans today, are unaware that Reagan’s Administration made cocaine available to America’s men, women and children. That Reagan act is unforgivable – no matter what “mouth-piece” is talking.

[There is something “bad wrong” with saying Reagan and Bush won against science. Actually science has been loosing since the world was flat. And science, in the form of Galileo, even lost its freedom. And under the neocons, major universities representing science in the field of a world wide programing contest have also lost. America's universities are  now clustered in 14th place. Do the neocons hate science? ]

A fool and his country are soon parted.

If Bears Could Fly…

August 26, 2010

Perhaps, if bears could fly, neocon politics might relate more to serious political topics .

America is currently in the throes of a Great Recession. America’s economy is at risk. That is serious. But the neocons would rather focus on the “location of a mosque in America” than on their role in the cause of America’s Great Recession.

Perhaps, if bears could fly, the neocon press could see and understand that America’s economy has a higher priority than “the location of a mosque in America”.

For what reason might the neocons and their press elevate the “location of a mosque in America” to a higher priority than America’s Great Recession?

POLITICAL OPPORTUNITY.

There is no political opportunity in the neocons and their press talking about non-stupid ways to manage America’s Great Recession. America’s Great Recession was caused by the neocon’s VOODOO ECONOMICS.

Sure, the neocons followed S(tandard)O(operating)P(rocedures) and blamed someone else for America’s Great Recession. But the effect of that “smoke and mirrors” activity does not last long. Perhaps, if some enterprising young American could find a way to make bears fly, that might remove the “IN-DENIAL” that seems deeply embedded in the neocon psyche. Perhaps the sight of a flying bear might be the omen that persuades the neocons to “come clean” – to take full responsibility for their political performance.  But, then again, bears are not yet able to fly.

Blaming their train-wrecks on others means the neocon mouth-pieces and their press must be the first “out of the gate” with a cause of a problem. Before the problem is understood, the neocon mouth-pieces and their press presents a  “cause”. Timing is critical. Presenting a cause or assigning a solution category must be correctly timed to the total absence of knowledge about the real cause of the problem.

The best time to hit the American population with a “smoke and mirrors” cause of a problem is when America is still confused. At that time, perhaps, America might accept the “any port in a storm” idea.

WordNet defines propaganda this way:

The noun propaganda has 1 sense (first 1 from tagged texts)
1. (4) propaganda — (information that is spread for the purpose of promoting some cause)

There are two things that America has yet to see:

  1. A flying bear
  2. Neocons who accept the responsibility for their train-wreck political performance

Perhaps after America sees the bear flying, it should then check the neocons’ legacy list. Perhaps, the flying bear revelation might persuade the neocons to REPENT?

Anything less than a “flying bear miracle” is not likely to impact the neocons political performance.

Do We Dare Look in the Mirror?

August 25, 2010

You know the mirror I’m talking about – it’s the one on the wall.

How does today’s image of America compare with yester-years’ image of America? Does the comparison reflect a change in America? If there is a change – is that change for the better?

Yester-years’ image of America was that of an America that “talked softly and carried a BIG STICK”. Yester-years’ America had no need to call attention to its capability for war. Yester-years’ America had no need to be a “bully boy” and America’s war “nerves” were comfortably settled. America led by EXAMPLE.

To lead by example requires an exceptional display of talent and competence. Sometimes talent and competence are  evident – sometimes not. For a leadership comparison example, one might compare America’s neocons to Germany’s NAZIs.

Prior to the rein of America’s neo-conservatives there was no similarity between NAZI political leadership styles and American political leadership styles. Neither America’s Republicans nor America’s Democrats came close to the NAZIs’ political leadership style. And  there were Republican conservatives in the Republican party prior to the neocons. Those conservatives were way-different from what the neocon press now calls conservatives and GOP.

The NAZIs invaded Poland. The neocons invaded Iraq.

The NAZIs preached RACIAL purity. The neocons preached PARTY purity.

But, in addition, the neocons also used caging in minority neighborhoods and they also provided cocaine for sale to  minority neighborhoods of Los Angeles, California.

And then, in order to screw up the minds of gullible Americans, the neocons, via a billboard,  likened Barack Obama to the NAZIs.

Everything the neocons screwed-up got blamed on someone else.  There is a lot of neocon blame going around. And that is the reason why their political campaigns MUST NOT – EVER reference politics. It’s ok to reference religion(a no no) but DO NOT reference politics – EVER.

America’s ombudsmen(voters) may need to take a new look in the mirror and ask that mirror – “who am I?” Perhaps Americans should ask that mirror if they are a reflection of traditional American values or a reflection of radical new  neocon “values”.

Traditional American values got America past 230 years of age. Will America make it to 300 years of age? Lets not even consider the neocons’ counter-part(the NAZIs) declaration:

At the risk of appearing to talk nonsense, I tell you that the Nazi movement will go on for 1,000 years! . . . Don’t forget how people laughed at me, 15 years ago, when I declared that one day I would govern Germany. They laugh now, just as foolishly, when I declare that I shall remain in power!

Adolf Hitler to a British correspondent in Berlin, June 1934 , [13]http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nazi_Germany

It only took 4 years for the neocons to crash America’s economy. President George W. Bush focused on America’s economy during his 2003 State of the Union Address. And by December of 2007 America’s Great Recession had started. And in typical neocon fashion – that great recession got blamed on someone else. Who? Who, else? – minorities.

Are there minorities in the neocon party? Were there Jews in the NAZI party?

A riff between minorities and America’s neocons was finally admitted by President George W. Bush. The NAACP, for some reason or another, had been “begging” for an audience with President Bush. He finally showed up and made mention of a less than enthusiastic relationship between minorities and the Republicans. Race was one of the highlights of neocon politics.

Today’s American politics seems to be faced with an identity crisis. Can the mirror on the wall help America identify itself? There is a battle for supremacy between the common-sense tool of Americans and the neocons’ press.

A fool and his country are soon parted.
