War And Capitalism – Two Powerful Tools for Shaping And Reshaping The World

November 30, 2011

It is no secret that America’s neocons have placed major emphasis in war and capitalism tools. And their use of both tools have more of a basis in neocon political ideology than Americana. With respect to wars, Americana(pre-neocon) said, “speak/walk softly and carry a big stick”. Neocon political ideology on war caused one world leader to describe America as a bully. And that description was being kind because now we see this: Foreigners See U.S. As ‘Greedy Bully‘.

When the neocons didn’t have a war of their own, they adopted one. They picked the jungles of South America as their first venture into war. When America’s ombudsmen(voters) decided to stop financing that Reagan adopted war, crack cocaine – sold in minority neighborhoods of Los Angeles, California(Reagan country), replaced those lost tax funds.

Adolf Hitler’s war-making exceeded the neocons’ war-making in scope. Adolf Hitler went after more countries than did America’s neocons who only went after Iraq. But in the justification area – both Adolf Hitler and America’s neocons shared the same standing. And with respect to the legality of the neocon’s Iraq war, the United Nations, with headquarters in America’s New York City, quietly said the Iraq war was illegal.

War and capitalism are two tools that are quite capable of subjugating the world – certainly much of the Western world. And that is in evidence. Wars cost money and lives. Capitalism can wreck or enhance money and lives – depending on whether or not capitalism is managed by controlled greed(ambition) or UN-controlled greed.

Any tool, in the wrong hands, can be a weapon. The war tool and the capitalism tool have done grave damage to America and indeed the Western world.

Judge Blocks Citigroup Settlement With S.E.C.

November 28, 2011

WASHINGTON — A federal judge in New York on Monday threw out a settlement between the Securities and Exchange Commission and Citigroup over a 2007 mortgage derivatives deal, saying that the S.E.C.’s policy of settling cases by allowing a company to neither admit nor deny the agency’s allegations did not satisfy the law.

The judge, Jed S. Rakoff of United States District Court in Manhattan, ruled that the S.E.C.’s $285 million settlement, announced last month, is “neither fair, nor reasonable, nor adequate, nor in the public interest” because it does not provide the court with evidence on which to judge the settlement. […]

The above news article appears on today’s New York Times Website in the Business Day section. And that same article can be read and printed at the related DEALBOOK site. DealBook highlights two paragraphs that should be “must reading” for Americans .

Judge Rakoff spoke of derivatives and the public interest. America’s CURRENT EVENTS news pool don’t hear those expressions much any more. Judge Rakoff’s “paper trail” ought to lead straight to the United States Supreme Court.

Greed and Consequencies of Greed – Who Cares?

November 27, 2011

The results of a Google search for a meaning of the word greed:

Greed – Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Greed is an excessive desire to possess wealth, goods, or abstract things of value with the intention to keep it for one’s self. Greed is inappropriate expectation.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greed

Humankind has been trying to deal with the greedy since the time of Jesus Christ. Christians tried to add their values to the “art” of live and let live. While that idea may not have been a roaring failure, it has not come near to a roaring success. For many who claim Christian values – talking the talk is preferred to walking the walk.

Personal wealth, at any cost, is bad for a country, bad for Jesus Christ and bad for the Christian faith.

Personal wealth , for most, is measured in “dollars and cents” ie. money. Jesus Christ, in his day, noticed that money needed controls that, apparently were not in evidence in a temple. He had words with some money changers.

Whether one says money is the root of all evil or the love of money is the root of all evil – that does point to money. While much time has passed since the Christians’ Jesus Christ walked the face of the earth, the “infection” side of money is still in evidence. And modern humankind has started to disassociate the “love of money” with evil social consequences that stance can cause.

With the disconnect of greed from the consequences of greed – greedy humankind can “feel better” when it looks out on soup lines, wrecked economies, nuclear plant destruction that has deeply disturbing social consequences, burning tap water and wars that enrich while killing thousands. Something is “bad wrong” when humankind does not attempt to solve that problem.

The problem makers are not only immune to the consequences of their actions against humankind, Mother Nature also gets a “thumb-in-the-nose” and “the waving of four.” Arkansas recently had some kind of a earth-tremor and stopped their fracking for fear of a full-blown earthquake.

Quite possibly, seeing relationships is difficult. One blogger, over at the Wall Street Journal saw business life and social life(especially the problems thereof) as being unrelated. And perhaps 42 million adult Americans who cannot read – likely missed that post.

Humankind is not the only victim of greed. Mother Nature is also a victim. And Mother Nature has been known to “wipe the slate clean” and start all over again with new managers of earth. It looks like she is physically down-sizing as She searches for responsible caretakers of earth. From dinosaur-size down to man-size is the current state. Who cares about greed? Mother Nature cares!

Cluster Bombs Make Strange Bedfellows

November 26, 2011

The below comes from the BBC News Website

[…] “How often do you see the US, Russia, China, India, Israel and Belarus push for something, and they don’t get it? That has happened largely because of one powerful alliance driving the Oslo partnership,” said Steve Goose of Human Rights Watch (HRW).[...]

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-15901152

A news article on the BBC’s website speaks to the ongoing desire to use cluster bombs to settle man-made disputes.

The current man-made dispute was made by man in 1948. In 1948 the United Nations(had guns and did travel) went to Palestine. And after it left, Palestine vanished. Where did Palestine go?

The search for Palestine has been ongoing since 1948. Those who are searching for Palestine have been called terrorists by the West. The “terrorists” interest in Palestine goes back to 1948 – shortly after the United Nations arrived. Keeping Palestine hidden has not been an easy job. But cluster bombs did play a role in keeping Palestine hidden.

One member of the above mentioned “group of six” saw the need to used cluster bombs in Lebanon. One of the features of cluster bombs is they don’t discriminate. While other munitions also don’t have artificial intelligence – cluster bombs REALLY don’t have artificial intelligence and they “lay in wait” for an intended victim. There is no age discrimination. One wrong step and “KABOOM”.

On school playgrounds the curiosity of five year olds may want to investigate that thing found on the playground. And may that five year old rest in peace after “KABOOM”.

A President of what was a GREAT country, prior to 1980, commented at the time a fellow member of the group was cluster bombing Lebanon. And, for posterity, he said, “I can’t tell Israel how to protect itself”. And that was a clue as to what happened to Palestine and who was keeping Palestine hidden.

And while the group of six don’t all have the same problems with mankind, they do seem to anticipate a possible need for cluster bombs. And based upon the ideology makeup of the group and low tolerance for diplomacy(neocons) – they may one day use cluster bombs on each other.

The Transformation of America

November 25, 2011

1980 was the year that changed America from apple pie to crack cocaine. It was the transition year from controlled greed to UN-controlled greed. It was the year of saber-rattling. It was the year that removed many common traits from America’s two major political parties. Prior to 1980 it was obvious that the Democrats and Republicans served the same country. After 1980 that changed. 1980 will likely go down in American history as – the year that was.

Transforming America from an apple pie consuming nation to a crack cocaine consuming nation could be classified, on its own “virtue”, as Satanic. And Satan would likely smile at the reason for starting a crack cocaine epidemic in an American neighborhood – albeit a minority neighborhood. Dope peddling under the protection of the American government seems UN-American. And in support of an adopted war in the jungles of South America means minority American men, women and children were sacrificed for war-mongering.

After 1980, America’s transformation touched the GREED category. America provides many of its citizens and visitors with much to see and do. And “coming to America” used to be said by many.

But providing all those necessities for public schools, public toilets, public highways, public jobs are not free. And billionaires(certainly not all of them) started to “feel the pinch”. And the political party, responsible for 1980′s transformation reacted. Tax cuts gave billionaires their money back. And when it came to “tax cut grandfathering decision time”, tax cuts won.

America’s treasury was an early victim of 1980′s transformation. Tax cuts and war spending started early and continued to eat at America’s treasury until the treasury crashed in December of 2007. Apparently, to the managers of that treasury, the crash came out of no-where. The crash was surprising, shocking, unexpected and even denied … understand?

The party in power was surrounded by “economy crashing conditions” but that party, apparently, did not respond to those conditions.

In 1980 America was transformed. There is no better illustration of that transformation than the debt graph that has been displayed many times on joejolly’s web posts.

Republicans Focuses on National Security

November 23, 2011

Joejolly read two news articles on BBC News website. Both were about the Republicans focus for 2012.  National security rather than national economy “won the toss”.  National security and national economy are both very, very important to the well-being of a country. America’s economy should have been the focus but we all know why the neocons avoids that topic.

Those republicans must have had one-hell of a problem figuring out which topic to select. The republicans, after twenty-some-odd years at America’s helm have plenty to talk about. They played big roles in America’s security and economy. Wonder how the neocons decided which topic to choose? They have way-less exposure in security than in the economy.  Perhaps thats why the neocons decided to select the topic that they did not totally crash. They selected security.

Security won out. And at home, the neocons may want to bring back their color-coded security alerts. The color-coded security alerts were designed to stay on the minds of America – from the breakfast table to the dinner table.  However  -  when neocon politics hits a low  bump, the color-code could compensate by being raised a notch..

Wars are costly affairs but America’s security from aggressor nations means America must  keep those aggressor nations at bay.

Before there was a “lick” of evidence against Iraq,  the neocons went on the prowl for  evidence of a Niger-Iraq weapons of mass destruction connection. Someone, on the supply-side of the “evidence market”  came up with exactly the document that  the demand-side needed. On the demand side, if you have deep pockets and you alert a market to your need, that need will likely be filled.

The document that surfaced, to fill the neocons need,  was said to have made an international trip from Africa via Italy and into the hands of the British and the mouth of America’s neocon president.  The neocon President, in 2003, described in 16 words, the threat facing America. Congress was fooled, but it was only the first time. So the shame did not rest on Congress.

Since the neocons were faced with an aggressor nation(Iraq) the neocons had to attack the aggressor nation before that aggressor nation attacked the neocons … understand?. The neocons termed their action, “PRE-EMPTIVE SELF DEFENSE”.  The United Nations knew what it was and did not play a leadership role as it did in the Gulf War. The United Nations’  IAEA finally got it hands on that document that was so persuasive for the mentality/ideology  of the neocons. Seymour Hersh, in his New Yorker Magazine article, described the IAEA’s reaction to the document that the neocons “used as gospel”.  And a description of that document may have played a role in how difficult it was for the United Nations IAEA to get its hands on that document.

The neocons, by whatever name the press and the neocons care to call them,  have a long string of  failures “under their belt”. And the neocons seems to be attracted to the “underbelly” of human relationships. Linking human beings to a source of the illegal drug crack cocaine ought not be in the minds of Christians.   But racism has helped the neocon political headcount.

For the Jews one of the neocons says he’ll go to Israel first. Israel is a foreign country. Los Angeles, California is not. It was crack cocaine for Los Angeles but something quite different for the foreign country of Israel. The neocons would not likely sell crack cocaine to Israel. Crack cocaine is a destructive recreational drug.

It’s the economy stupid!!!

The neocons don’t want to talk about the economy because they wrecked it in 2007.  They could not have wrecked it in 2007 had they not prepared for it earlier. They prepared, in 1999,  for the economy crash of 2007. In 1999 neocons removed banking restrictions that had protected America’s economy for seventy-some-odd years. But,  for some reason, they left intact government protection of America’s personal bank accounts. Smart people – huh?

So, the neocons are focusing on national security. Wonder who they’ll cast as WORLD POLICEMAN? Wonder how much that’ll cost America. Will the United Nations vote the neocons the legal right to act on its behalf? Will the neocons continue to urge terrorists  to “bring’em on”? Will Iraq’s oil well’s require world police monitoring?

Joejolly wonders when the neocons will boast of what they have done. It looks like you can’t make a neocon talk about what they have contributed to America. And that is because BIG OIL, BIG BANKS, BIG GAS and BIG PHARMACEUTICALS would likely want to stay mum.

Nuclear Missiles As A Problem Solver

November 22, 2011

Although tools, can and do solve problems, any tool in the wrong hands, can create problems. Nuclear missiles can solve problems. Nuclear missiles were designed to solve a special kind of problem. When human beings become problems – its nuclear missiles to the rescue.

Man has been a problem for man since man. And various activities have been engaged in to solve the man problem. Adolf Hitler had a man problem – so, he visited Poland. And in the same vein, America’s neocons had a man problem so they visited Iraq.

Until the Iraq war, America was generally considered to be a world class problem solver. Neocons and their Iraqi war put an end to that thinking by many of the world’s working class. For the upper class the “spoils of war” made – what the United Nations called an illegal war, worth the 6000 American soldiers loss and the many more thousands of Iraqi non-combatants loss.

The spoils of war, however, went to BIG OIL, which did not, itself, participate in the war . And that is in-line with what a blogger – over at the Wall Street Journal – which is owned by News Corp. said. The war was a social problem and business has no business trying to solve social problems. But business gladly accepted the “spoils of war”. Big oil gained the second largest oil reserves known to man and nobody on boards of directors spent an hour on the battlefield of war. You see…war is a social problem.

The man vs man problem was not solved by the Iraq war. As a matter of fact the stated reason for that war could not be validated by those outside the “circle of war”. Nobody found weapons of mass destruction. And nobody could prove their existence. But in order to keep the neocons alive in the political arena of America, international laws were relaxed – after all this is America not Africa.  American news sources were relaxed. So, at this time America’s political ethics for its presidents says, “ do kill as many innocent non-combatants as you like – nothing will happen to you”. However, you will be impeached if you fail to tell the truth about improper touching. If that ain’t HELL, what is?

America’s last neocon president seems anxious to nuke somebody – anybody whose politics he disapproved of. One would be hard pressed to find ANY OTHER American president who “tongued” the WWIII word as often as he did. If he didn’t know how to prepare for Hurricane Katrina how in Hell will he discover how to prepare his country for a nuclear war?

Nuclear missiles may indeed turn out to be the final problem solver. It is the most likely tool to solve the final problem. Man is the biggest problem on earth. And nuclear missiles would likely put an end to that problem.

Searching The Internet Shows Many Cases of “Windows Is Not Genuine”

November 21, 2011

As joejolly continued to setup his new operating system, he decided to search the Internet for,  “This copy of windows is not genuine“. And there were many. There were enough to conclude that it was not a virus but something that Microsoft set up. And what-if the BIG company made mistakes? Nothing is perfect. Everything has a “percent of error” factored into the operation.

Based upon the excerpts that joejolly scanned, it is difficult to guess at the accuracy of the “windows is not genuine” program but there were complaints. Responses were varied – some computers had been upgraded at a computer shop.

Joejolly’s computer was purchased several years ago. It has never visited a computer shop. Joejolly took it “down to the bricks” on several occasions” and used the disk that he purchased from Hewlett-Packard to re-install the operating system. While not saying that Microsoft’s “Registration” program is error prone – it can and has made a mistake. Sure – some Americans will write this off as nothing to talk about. But some Americans wrote off talking about selling cocaine to minority neighborhoods of Los Angeles, California. America’s ethics, care and concern  is so deeply mired in muck that it may take luck to get it back to pre-1980 days.

Joejolly’s computer, with a Microsoft operating system, interrupted joejolly every hour. Joejolly discovered a Task Manager entry called registration that promised to continue that harassment until April of 2012 unless joejolly clicked on a button. Joejolly did not click on a button – but the black screens and the pop-ups are gone for ever more.  Work conditions are normal again. But after this display of intrusion, no more Microsoft products for joejolly.

An Antidote For Greed?

November 21, 2011

Why isn’t religion an antidote for greed? It is not an antidote because greed is too firmly entrenched in the behavior of man. Greed, in the minds of humans preceded religion. And greed has proved a formidable opponent of religion.

Religion, if it is working, is supposed to “mute” man’s natural tendencies to display evil and unethical behaviors. Greed helps one man – often at another man’s expense.

America, the whole country, suffered in order to satisfy the greed of neocon America. It started with Reagan and his TAX CUTS. The neocons came up with some VOODOO or black magic that apparently the American intellect fell for. Americans knew the meaning of the word “conservative” and the neocons, along with certain “news” sources let them continue to believe that G.O.P. conservative and neocon conservative had the same meaning. They did not.

The greed of the neocons stripped America’s treasury using two major techniques – tax cuts and war spending. Big people got bigger by making money on tax cuts and providing materials for the Iraq war. And some Americans, bless their hearts, continued to believe that “business is better at providing jobs than government”. Evidence to the contrary crept into America’s consciousness during the Republicans first economy collapse.

Greed is very much alive today – especially in America. And especially within  the extreme right wing of the Republican party ie. the neocons. Imagine a billionaire, already a billionaire, pining to invest in a foreign country because his native country is showing the effects of neocon “blood sucking”.

Yes, America has had its blood sucked for twenty-some-odd years and now is in need of a transfusion. But abandonment has been suggested. If one is already a billionaire and one deserts the country that made it all possible, what do you call that?

Perhaps its not religion’s job to “cancel” greed. Perhaps its the job of laws and regulations to control greed. But the neocons, like a good virus, attacked laws and regulations.

A fool and his country may have already parted.

Whose Fault Are The Neocons?

November 20, 2011

Whose fault is it that the neocons have been left to wreck America for a period of twenty-some-odd years?

Whose fault Is it that the neocons settled labor problems by mass firings?

Whose fault is it that the neocons used crack cocaine sales to finance an adopted war in the jungles of South America?

Whose fault is it that Iraq was attacked under the leadership of the neocons?

Whose fault is it that minority neighborhoods have been targeted for evil under the leadership of the neocons?

Whose fault is it that in 1999 the neocon Congress rolled back America’s economy protections to the Great Depression era – meaning no protection?

Whose fault is it that in 2007 America had it second worst economy crash?

Who is stupid enough to believe what the neocons said about their 1999 actions that set the stage for their 2007 Great Recession?

Whose fault is it that the neocons are still around and name-calling as their primary political strategy?

Whose fault is it that an American covert CIA agent’s identity was revealed to the world?

Whose fault is it that the above question makes sense in America?

Who takes credit for the neocons?

Who has the ultimate responsibility for America? Where does “the buck” stop?

America has had a serious political problem for twenty-some-odd years. America has had a problem with the output of the neocon politicians for that long. Americans have waited for biased news services to tell them the meaning of political actions when common sense would have served Americans better.

Imagine a neocon politician telling America that rolling back America’s economy protections to the 30′s was an advancement.

Whose fault are the neocons? America’s ombudsmen(voters) are responsible for the neocons.
