At last, someone with a voice that can be heard – above the silence – has spoken out on the NSA, the ‘pathetic’ American media and lastly President Obama. Two out of three “ain’t” bad.
America needs to say a HUGE thank-you to theGuardian.com website and Lisa O’Carroll for their post, “ Seymour Hersh on Obama, NSA and the ‘pathetic’ American media. Seymour Hersh had harsh words for the media. And that is exactly what is needed to describe the current role of the “media watch dogs”. Commands to the media watchdogs seems to be “sit” not “sic ‘em”.
Lisa O’ Carroll did seem to want to put a certain perspective on Seymour Hersh’s comments for she put it this way:
It doesn’t take much to fire up Hersh, the investigative journalist who has been the nemesis of US presidents since the 1960s and who was once described by the Republican party as “the closest thing American journalism has to a terrorist”.
Now focus on Lisa O’Carroll’s words, “it doesn’t take much” and see if you agree the following three neocon “accomplishments” are not much and should be ignored:
THE GREAT RECESSION OF 2007
THE GREAT ATTACK(PRISM) ON THE FOURTH AMENDMENT TO AMERICA’S CONSTITUTION
Sequestration came into use in 1985 – after the neocons had five years in which to wreck an economy that was in a good condition when passed on to the neocons in 1980. The command executed by the media watch dog, during sequestration, was “sit”.
The Great Recession of December, 2007 was denied in 2007 and all the way into April of 2008. Who did the denying? Who else? It was the strongest man in the world. Joejolly, at that time, avoided saying the word, “recession” by spelling it rather than saying it. The word “recession” was then pronounced as R-E-C-E-S-S-I-O-N, And at this time, in America’s history, a man named, Mr. Warren Buffett told America that something was wrong with its economy. The command executed by the media watch dog, during the great recession , was “sit”.
Prism was a direct attack on America’s Constitution. And that meant the attack should not be publicized. It needed to be done in secret. And that attack became the responsibility of a secret court. You see – the United States Supreme Court, although it is supreme, – isn’t secret. The high ranking supporters of PRISM did not want the enemy to know of PRISM’S existence. The high ranking supporters of PRISM did not want Americans to know of PRISM’S existence. But this time the media watch dog’ s command changed to “sic “em”
If you think those attacks on the United States of America were carried out by “certified terrorists” you might be a serious candidate for a voyage to the sun – but at night. It seems that by going to the sun at night – you won’t burn-up.
Hopefully Lisa O’ Carroll is not saying that journalism and America’s current conditions are not in a state of total dis-repair for it is and if someone cannot see that – it is sad.
When journalists are doing the job of journalism – politicians( especially the bad ones) don’t like them. When the journalist Jack Anderson passed away, the FBI had a file on him and wanted to gain access to his personal papers after his death. Mr. Anderson’s family refused the FBI’s request. That was during J. Edgar Hoover’s days.
[Republicans, especially since 1980, are deathly afraid of truth. And anyone who thinks America has suffered more damage from terrorists than “Republicans” might have the moxy to take that trip to the sun if its taken at NIGHT! ]
