Mr. Finch is quite right about corporate donations going to both parties. But corporate donations did not enter into joejolly’s list of questionable “Christian” values. Not a single item, in joejolly’s list, made it into Mr. Finch’s response. Why is that? Why didn’t Mr. Finch reference penis slicing, dope pedaling, caging, wars of aggression and mass firing of American labor?

Perhaps the reason is those list items are not “pretty” and the political party associated with those items don’t want to talk about them. There are more items that can be added to that list. That list is so long that it is difficult to believe it represents accidental behavior.

The political party associated with those list items is keeping quiet. Consequently when campaign time rolls around, they’ve got nothing to talk about. And a significant part of America’s press seems to be not too inquisitive.

Don’t be alarmed if some “press” elements called the State of the Union Address a “pitch”. The neocon press is anxious for the neocons to get and stay in power. Big oil got Iraq’s oil fields. Big gas got fracking. Big pharmaceuticals got Medicare Part D. Big news is now awaiting its turn to grab the Internet. That means the press must continue attempting to persuade America’s ombudsmen(voters) that neocons are the way and the truth and the light.

President Barack Obama spoke of education, innovation and infrastructure. America has problems in all of those areas. All of those areas have had twenty-some-odd years of neglect while emphasis was placed on stripping America’s treasury and conducting wars that were profitable for a few Americans but costly for the rest.

Education has been virtually ignored by neocons for twenty-some-odd years. Many Americans are/were un-aware of the neocons stab at educating the young. The neocons’ “No Child Left Behind law” was left behind. And the neocons focused on Sesame Street. The neocons mounted a “financial” attack on Sesame Street.

For adult Americans, there were conditions that indicated educational neglect – especially in the important field of computer programming. Neocons’ educational neglect of America’s education system showed up in the 2010 ACM International Collegiate Programing Contest (ACM ICPC). 2011 saw China retain its number 1 position while America moved up to number 2. That’s a whole lot better than being in the “also ran” position that America “enjoyed” in 2010.

And now 2012 is upon us.

Joejolly, in one of his long ago posts, brought out the fact that the Bush Administration did not look kindly upon support for minorities attempting to get a higher education. However, there was more understanding – for some reason – for those who got legacy admission to top ranked universities like Yale.

News services will likely continue giving their “pitch” on the President’s State of the Union Address. Many of them have a stake in the neocons’ political status quo. What will they say to America? How will they say it? What category in the art of rhetoric will they choose?

Will it be Ethos, Logos or Pathos?

Lets look at those three categories.

Ethos

Ethos is appeal based on the character of the speaker. An ethos driven document relies on the reputation of the author.

Logos

Logos is appeal based on logic or reason. Documents distributed by companies or corporations are logos-driven. Scholarly documents are also often logos-driven.

Pathos

Pathos is appeal based on emotion. Advertisements tend to be pathos-driven

There may be a category that the neocons can use to counter the President’s vision for a sea to shinning sea America. How would you like Pathos for that task?

Neocon’s are now campaigning for America’s top political office. And after being in that top political office for quite sometime, neocons have much experience with State of the Union Addresses. They have so many, under their belt, that it’s difficult to select their favorite State of the Union Address.

Which neocon State of the Union Address is their favorite one? Their 2003 State of the Union Address was certainly a world shaker. Perhaps the 2003 State of the Union Address is the neocons’ favorite?

Perhaps, yes. The neocons’  2003 State of the Union Address was one Hell of a State of the Union Address. President George W. Bush focused on NOT taxing investors earnings and Iraq’s weapons of mass destruction.

Now Answer Me This:

If you were a human being, of sound mind and body, and you had the neocons’ 2003 State of the Union Address in your political domain, would you BAD MOUTH someone else’s upcoming State of the Union Address?

President Barack Obama is not likely to advocate his own personal war, which the United Nations would likely call illegal. President Barack Obama is not likely to advocate NO tax on investor’s earnings. Both of those ideas were put forth at the neocons 2003 State of the Union Address. The attack on Iraq and the attack on America’s tax base saw early results. The Bush team verbally attacked Iraq in January of 2003. Three months later, the Bush team was on the ground in Iraq.

The attack on America’s economy did not bear fruit until December of 2007. America “welcomed” its second great economic disaster in December of 2007.

The neocons are now BIG MOUTHING an upcoming State of the Union Address. Why? Because they can – the press’s lips shall remain sealed. And if journalistic skills are required to “digest” the data in America’s CURRENT EVENTS news pool, those skills may have to come from the readers themselves. Readers must beware when the press doesn’t take care.

The press, to a significant extent, allows the neocons to disengage from their public records while the neocons take liberty with truth and propaganda with other peoples public records. A political party that has NOTHING but “train-wrecks” in its list of “accomplishments” would need help from somewhere. Propaganda, record hiding and racism are three of the tools that have enabled the neocons to maintain a political presence in America.

Remember the neocons said President Obama can run but he can’t hide from HIS record. That was meant to imply that the neocons don’t run or hide from their own records. That kind of trash should not work in America.

Early on the neocons were depleting America’s TAX dollars by giving tax money back to their political base. All the while, neocons had very expensive tastes in wars. They dropped 3 trillion dollars on the Iraq war alone.

And speaking of wars not being over - Nicaragua, where the original neocon adopted a war, is still seeking millions from America’s treasury.

A graph of the neocons’ debt management should have caused America’s press to shriek. A fifth grader, viewing those debt graphs would likely have fainted. But sometimes the press looks with its “see no evil” latch turned on. Sometimes the press has more than a journalistic interest in the activity of a political party.

The neocons and their political base certainly have expensive tastes. And to ensure that those tastes are continuously satisfied the neocons,  created the Gramm-Leach Bliley Act.

The Graham-Leach Bliley Act, created in 1999 by the neocons, essentially decoupled banks from the controls established to repair the Republicans 1929 Great Depression. The neocons called their 1999 creation – “progress”. And America’s press, apparently, took them at their word and passed that on to America’s CURRENT EVENTS news pool. The neocons removed the rules created to recover from the Republican’s Great Depression and replaced those rules with the 1999 rules that the neocons called  ”progress”.  America did not roar.

Banks, however, were not – early-on – activists in getting mixed-up in the financial derivatives and other high-risk financial markets. But in 2003 during America’s State of the Union Address, a “pep talk” on improving America’s economy was given. And banks “woke up” to the realization that  regulation was now de-regulated. Gramm-Leach Bliley, dormant since 1999, became a very attractive tool for the political base of the neocons.

There is some arithmetic to do. How effective was de-regulation? Lets do the arithmetic. 2007(Great Recession) – 2003(de-regulation hype) = 4 years. It only took 4 years to crash an economy that was working fine in 2003.

Can Gramm-Leach Bliley do that again? Why not? If everybody lost, then it would likely not happen again. But when those who caused the problem earns million of dollar in bonuses where is the motivation to avoid the use of Gramm-Leach Bliley? Now remember the neocons don’t mind avoiding socialism. Socialism “is when” sea to shinning sea America benefits. A $9,000,000 bonus to a single American is NOT socialism. But $1.00 to 9,000,000 Americans IS socialism. Understand?

Gramm-Leach Bliley is a threat to America’s economy. Why not ”SOPA” Gramm-Leach Bliley?

Early on, the neocons started stripping America’s treasury. They gave America’s tax dollars to their political base. Finally America’s treasury was bare.

America’s citizens still have things of value. One is the Internet. Neocons have been after the Internet for quite some time. Their political base can use the Internet to collect “mo” money in the news and other businesses. One American, who is no longer with us, said Americans should be paying for news. He may have overlooked the fact that America paid for the Internet. The Internet was NOT free.

Americans can get much news and much information from their investment in the Internet and that is a small return on their investment dollars. The investment was made back in the days of President Dwight D. Eisenhower who was a Republican but nothing like what calls itself a Republican today.

Joejolly has heard America ROAR twice. Once in 2006, when the neocons were kicked out,  and now once in 2012. It is not a frequent occurrence but when it happens, it is quite effective and quite attention getting. Fascism does not want to hear that roar.

Joejolly went to the Internet. The Internet is an amazing source of information. Granted not all of it is free of bias, propaganda and downright lies. But navigating with one’s common sense latch on will likely steer one to a truthful destination. Joejolly asked the Google search engine, “who ended the Iraq war”? Assuming Uncle Andy believes Defense Secretary Leon Panetta’s words, then the next question might be, “who authorized Defense Secretary Leon Panetta to say those words about the Iraq war being over?

Can that be the domain of the President of the United States of America? Now we recall that Vice President Cheney said President Bush had the power to start a nuclear war without getting anyone’s approval. There was no neocon reference to “ending wars”.

But, if declaring wars is in the domain of the President cannot ending wars be in that same domain. Joejolly believes the President of the United States of America is authorized to not only start wars but also to end wars.

There may have been a framework for pullout from the 100 year war. Perhaps those pull out conditions might have been: all the soldiers are dead or there are no bullets left.

The neocons’ “framework” for pullout from the Iraq war, and there was likely no such thing, was as mysterious as the neocons’ reason for starting the Iraq war. But joejolly did speculate on the end of the Iraq war. Joejolly speculated that the neocons would end the Iraq war when the last barrel of Iraqi oil was sold or when the last American soldier – standing in Iraq – fell.

Neocons love wars – Democrats don’t. Democrats were looking for Al-Qaeda along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border. During President Clinton’s Administration Super bombs were aimed at caves along the Afghan-Pakistan border. Rarely was there news of heavy civilian casualties. Joejolly doesn’t recall any.

But the Bush Administration redirected troops away from Afghanistan’s border and toward Iraq – where the oil was. What if Al-Qaeda got its hands on Iraq’s oil? So, drones were used in the Afghan-Pakistan area while the Bush team sent troops to Baghdad.

And drones targeted residences and large gatherings of human beings in open areas. Those human beings ranged in age from children on up. And civilian casualties mounted.

The state of the Middle East today is a George W. Bush monstrosity. No other American President messed the Middle East up like the Bush neocons. And there is no magic wand to wave and instantly bring things back to normal.

It is certainly not up to individuals to decide the legality of police/military action in the area that the Bush Team screwed up royality. Trying to usurp the authority of the United Nations makes no sense for an individual or a group of individuals. But it happens. Joejolly believes this to be more “wishful thinking” than fact.

The United Nations did declare a recent war illegal – but that was the Iraq war and it is unlikely that Uncle Andy would like to put that information up-front.

Some Americans long for a return to the “good old days” of slavery/racism and are willing to risk killing America in order to kill objections to racism. Their thinking might be, during the killing of America – objections to racism will meet a quicker death than will America. And some Americans go even further by seeing nothing wrong with a THREE STOOGES LIKE political talent dis-mantling America’s Constitution to make it “MO BETTER”. To some neocons America’s Constitution may be nothing more than a “Goddam piece of paper”.

The pro-racism approach has found adherents. After- all this is still America. The anti-Christian act of slavery – quietly endured by priests – was Satanic. But church was isolated from State.

It was the Republican party that ended the practice of slavery. And now, after 1980, it’s the Republican party that is tending toward a rebirth of tenets of that practice. The neocons’ CAGING was a throw-back to the South’s POLL TAX. Both were aimed at keeping non-whites away from the polls.

A White American President started a war – based on a lie – never retracted that lie which netted the neocons’ political base the second largest oil reserves known to man. The neocon’s Tea Party was quiet.

A Black American President(the first one in Constitutional History) won a Nobel Peace Prize for his efforts at ending wars and the NEOCON’S TEA PARTY went berserk.

That same Black American President has accomplished more positive work in his one term than the neocons, by whatever alias you want to call them, have in twenty-some-odd years.

What’s at work here? Is it stupidity or racism or Perhaps both?

Senator Orrin Hatch, R-Utah, publicized destroying the computers of people who illegally download music via the Internet. His suggestion was a radical change from the civilized norm. It seemed more appropriate for terrorists than American citizens who had not been charged with or convicted of a crime.

In attendance at Senator’s hatch’s “brain-storming” session was Randy Saaf of MediaDefender Inc. It was Mr. Saaf’s job to “persuade” illegal music down loaders to give up on downloading illegal music. Mr. Saaf concentrated on the download process by making it excruciatingly slow. That method was meant to discourage rather than to kill, maim or destroy the down loaders property or life.

Mr. Saaf, likely believing he “mis-heard his ears” while listening to the good Senator from Utah – said: “No one is interested in destroying anyone’s computer…” to which the good neocon senator from Utah replied:

“I’m interested,” Hatch interrupted. He said damaging someone’s computer “may be the only way you can teach somebody about copyrights.”

A tool, fitting the description of the needs of the good Senator from Utah, did arrive in the computer market place. But that tool, exploding batteries, seemed designed for lap-tops rather than desk-tops. Joejolly saw no effort by Senator Hatch to connect those exploding laptop batteries to illegal music downloading. Perhaps the good Senator from Utah wanted to wait for a battery that did not, in addition to “blowing up their computers”, set the living room on fire.

Does the ends justify the means? Several neocon instances seems to say that. And the neocons can thank America’s ombudsmen(voters) for making all their efforts possible.
